about the artist

I am drawn to the tension between two visual worlds: clusters that feel crowded, compact, and highly ordered, and the natural world, which is fluid, raw, and seemingly unruly. My work lives in the space between them. Through layers of oil and encaustic wax, I build structure, repetition, and precision, then disrupt it with organic marks, unexpected movement, and texture. Influenced by the ocean, wildlife, landscapes, and natural materials, I am interested in how beauty can exist in both control and imperfection. Each piece becomes an exploration of balance between order and chaos, delicacy and grit, refinement and the wild.
